Al Karim Welfare Society (AKWS) is a Civil Society Organization (CSO) established by the youth of village Booni in March 1988 and formally registered with the Social Welfare Department, Government of KPK in 1993.
Who we are ?
Al Karim Welfare Society is the first Civil Society Organization established in 1988 when the concept of a youth CSO was totally alien to the local populace in Chitral, now there have been numerous such youth CSOs throughout Chitral as a demonstration affect of AKWS. It is therefore expected that in the years ahead, there will be many other CSOs in the area providing similar opportunities to the women of the area which AKWS is starting providing today.

Organizing discussion and lecture programs on different social, cultural and economic issues in the area
Provision of Volunteers to AKDN, other private sector organizations, other CSOs and Government departments in organizing different events and celebrations
Celebrating various International Days, such as, International Year of Mountains, International Women Day, International Mothers’ Day etc.
